Terese is impressed by Brad’s efforts to woo her back home, but what is meant to be a romantic picnic by the rotunda soon devolves into them reopening old wounds with Brad reminded of his resentment about being forced into a teaching career. Both are at a loss to know how to move forward; Terese wants Brad to be honest with her, but she is rattled by the revelations of his true feelings.
